What We Believe

GOD THE FATHER
There is only one and true living God (Deuteronomy 6:4), who is a spiritual (John 4:24) and personal Being (Exodus 3:12-16). The eternal God is the Creator (Genesis 1:1), Redeemer (Psalm 7:1), Preserver, and Ruler of the Universe (1 Chronicles 29:12).
God has a general love for all creation and He has no pleasure in punishing the wicked (Ezekiel 33:11) and He provides solution for sinners by covering with His own righteousness (John 3:16).
God is Father of Jesus Christ (John 1:18) and the Father to all those who become His children through faith in Jesus Christ (John 1:12-13).

GOD THE SON
Jesus existed prior to His incarnation (John 1:1-5). He was conceived of the Holy Spirit. Born of the virgin Mary, lived and ministered in the world, was crucified, died and was buried, was raised from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:3-4), ascended into heaven (Hebrews 9:24), and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father (Ephesians 1:20] making intercession on our behalf (Hebrews 7:25).
All things were created by Him and for Him ((Colossians 1:13-17). He is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world (John 1:29). As the Redeemer (Matthew 20:28), He is the only way to God the Father (John 14:6). Redemption becomes effective through repentance (Acts 2:38) and acceptance of Christ’s salvation by faith (John 3:36; Ephesians 2:8-9).
In the Return of Christ, He shall bring salvation to those who are waiting for Him (Hebrews 9:28), ushering in the ultimate rule of God (1 Corinthians 15:24-28) and His judgment on humankind (2 Thessalonians 1:7b-10).

GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit indwells in all believers (1 Corinthians 3:16) and He gives new life to them (Philippians 1:6). He makes them holy to grow into the likeness of Christ (Romans 15:16). He empowers all His people to witness (Acts 1:8), endowing them various gifts for the well-being, functioning and mission of the church (1 Corinthians 12:7).
The Holy Spirit bears witness that believers are the children of God – God’s adopted sons (Romans 8:16-17).

Man
Man was created by God in His image and the crowning work of His creation (Genesis 1:26-27; 2:7). In the beginning man was innocent of sin, but by his free choice he sinned against God and brought sin to the human race (Romans 5:12). The Fall rendered humankind subject to God’s wrath and condemnation (Romans 1:18; Ephesians 5:6).

Salvation
Salvation is found in no other names except in the name of Jesus (John 20:31). Every man is destined to die once and after to face the judgment of God (Hebrews 9:27).

THE SCRIPTURES
The Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired by God. It is God’s revelation of Himself to man. The author is God with salvation as its purpose. It is the supreme standard by which God reveals the principles for Christian living and conduct. The criterion by which the Bible is to be interpreted is Jesus Christ (Isaiah 34:16; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; Hebrews 1:1-2; 2 Peter 1:20-21).

THE CHURCH
The Church consists of all true believers who have been baptized and experienced God’s redemption through Jesus Christ (1 Peter 2:5) and is instrument of God in the world (2 Corinthians 5:18, 20).
